The race courses for the Swedbank Tallinn Marathon, which will take place in two months, are single-lap and fast-profiled. The start and finish of the main distances are located at the foot of Pikk Hermann. For the first time, a welcome run and a charity relay marathon are planned.

Estonia's largest international running festival will take place this year from September 6-8.

The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon race center and expo area are traditionally located in Freedom Square. The award ceremonies will also take place there.

On Friday, September 6, at 18:30, the event will feature for the first time a symbolic 4.2-kilometer welcome run for the Tallinn Marathon and Fall Race. This non-timed prologue, taking place on the paths of Kadriorg Park, is open to both runners and walkers. Registration for the welcome run started today.

The start and finish location for the main distances of Estonia's most popular recreational sports event is located at the foot of Toompea on Falgi Road, offering a view of the Pikk Hermann Tower, where the blue-black-white Estonian national flag is raised every morning at sunrise and lowered at sunset.

The Saturday race program of the international Tallinn Marathon, which involves top-level long-distance runners and thousands of fitness enthusiasts, begins on September 7 at 9:00 with the half marathon (21.1 km). The half marathon route takes participants via Paldiski Road, Ristiku Street, and Kolde Boulevard to the light traffic roads of Stroomi Beach Park. Overpasses are used to cross Sõle Street and Paldiski Road, where specially trained judges and controllers help ensure smooth traffic flow during the event. The runners then head to the wide light traffic road on Kõrgepinge Street, built on a railway embankment, and continue through Tuuliku Road, Tuuleveski Street, and the underpass of Paldiski Road to the light traffic roads of Rocca al Mare. They return along the seaside promenade via Open Air Museum Road to Stroomi Beach Park, and the final kilometers take them through Kolde Boulevard, Ristiku and Kopli Streets, and Rannamäe Road to Toompuiestee, turning onto the final stretch on Falgi Road.

On the afternoon of September 7, at 14:00, the starting signal will sound for the always well-attended 10-kilometer Tallinn Fall Race, which celebrates its 25th edition this year. The updated jubilee run route takes participants through Paldiski Road, Ristiku Street, Kolde Boulevard, Kopli, and Tööstuse Streets to the attractive Kalamaja area. The Fall Race route passes through the historic industrial district of North Tallinn, going through the newly renovated Volta Quarter for the first time, circling around the impressive Seaplane Harbour hangar, and passing by the infamous Patarei Prison. The route reaches North Boulevard via Kalasadam and proceeds via Rannamäe Road to Toompuiestee, ending at the finish line at the foot of Toompea.

On Saturday evening at 18:30, the 5-kilometer Nike Youth Run will take place, leading participants from Freedom Square through Kaarli Boulevard, Toompea Street, Falgi Road, Toompuiestee, Rannamäe Road, and Pikk Street to the Tallinn Old Town. Via historical streets, participants will reach Town Hall Square and finish at Freedom Square via Harju Street.

Saturday is worth exploring with the whole family, as traditional children's runs will also take place at Snelli Stadium, welcoming children from both the capital and beyond.

On Sunday, September 8, at 9:00, the classic 42.195-kilometer marathon will start from the foot of Toompea. Participants will move via Paldiski Road, Ristiku and Kopli Streets to the early morning paths of Kalamaja, make a short loop in Kalaranna and the industrial district of North Tallinn, then head via Erika Street and Kolde Boulevard to the light traffic roads of Stroomi Beach Park. Overpasses are used to cross Sõle Street and Paldiski Road, as on Saturday. The Sunday route follows the same path as the half marathon until the Paldiski Road viaduct, where marathon participants will run over the viaduct next to Lake Harku and then make an eight-kilometer loop through beautiful nature along the light traffic roads of Astangu. Via the underpass of Paldiski Road, they will reach the light traffic roads of Rocca al Mare, with the final section of the marathon route being exactly the same as the half marathon the previous day.

For the first time, a charity relay marathon will also take place as part of the Swedbank Tallinn Marathon. A relay marathon team consists of 5 members who together cover the classic marathon distance of 42.195 km. The relay exchange distances vary between team members as follows: 7.8 km - 9.7 km - 10.4 km - 6.3 km - 8 km. A relay team can be formed by institutions, companies, schools, sports clubs, or friends and acquaintances who love running. The participation fee for the relay marathon will support the development of low playgrounds on one of Tallinn's health trails, with the aim of creating early movement opportunities and encouraging people to move more in nature.

In parallel with the regular major event, the Tallinn Marathon virtual run will take place from September 1-30, allowing participation from any corner of the world. It is possible to participate in Estonia's largest virtual sports event in the very popular combined marathon, or "Marathon Combo," which is accessible to every running and fitness enthusiast. A virtual children's run will also take place.

You can register for the various distances of Estonia's largest running and movement event at a discounted rate until July 31 at www.jooks.ee.
